Toorak Gardens and Rose Park are neighbours in the same council ward. For a good part of Toorak Gardens, we are a walk.
Prescott Terrace and Warwick Avenue form the boundary between Toorak Gardens and Rose Park, and we are on the far side of Rose Park at the Fullarton Road corner. From the western streets of Toorak Gardens that is a walk of ten minutes or so. From the Portrush Road end it is a short drive straight down Kensington Road or Alexandra Avenue.
Both suburbs sit in the City of Burnside, and in fact in the same council ward — Rose Park and Toorak Gardens are administered together. If you know the area between Kensington Road and Greenhill Road, you already know where we are.
The building is on the corner of Fullarton Road and Alexandra Avenue, which means you arrive from the quiet residential side rather than off the main road.
We are at Unit 12, The Parks, 154 Fullarton Road, Rose Park SA 5067 — Unit 12, The Parks, on the corner of Fullarton Road and Alexandra Avenue. There is two-hour free street parking on Alexandra Avenue and Grant Avenue, immediately beside the building, and the parklands are a short walk away if you would rather arrive early and sit somewhere quiet first.
The consulting suites are on the first floor, up one flight of stairs. There is no lift. If a flight of stairs is not manageable for you, a Zoom or telephone appointment is likely to suit you better — every practitioner here offers both, and the Medicare rebate is the same.
You will get written directions by email and text before your appointment, so you are not relying on this page on the day.
Kensington Road and Greenhill Road both carry buses into the city and both run along the edges of Toorak Gardens. For a suburb this close, though, walking or a five-minute drive is usually simpler than working out a connection.
Everyone who practises at OneBodyMind runs their own independent practice. They are registered psychologists and accredited mental health social workers, they work from therapies that have been tested, and they set their own hours and fees. You choose the practitioner rather than being allocated one.
Read the practitioner profiles and start with whoever you would find it easiest to begin with. If the first person is not the right fit, that is ordinary rather than a failure — say so and ask to be pointed elsewhere.
You can also start from what you are looking for rather than from a name: we set out what we help with and the types of therapy used here in plain language.
A standard consultation is between $260 and $290 before any rebate. With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, Medicare covers ten individual sessions a calendar year and most people are between about $130 and $170 out of pocket each time. You do not need a referral to book — it only affects the rebate.
We lodge the Medicare claim for you at the time of the appointment. There is more detail on what a session costs, Medicare and referrals and your first appointment.
