Rather than treating Autism or ADHD as something to 'fix', neurodiversity-affirming practice starts from the position that these are natural variations in how people think and experience the world.
Therapy focuses on understanding your particular strengths and challenges, developing strategies that work with your brain rather than against it, and addressing co-occurring difficulties — anxiety, low mood, burnout — that are often linked to years of masking or trying to fit a neurotypical mould. Evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT and schema work are adapted for neurodivergent thinking, sensory needs and communication style. It is especially relevant for adults who are newly diagnosed or self-identified, and it sits naturally alongside LGBTQIA+ affirming practice for people who are both.
Sessions are adapted to you: pace, sensory environment, communication style (including written or visual formats), and the option of telehealth. Nothing about you is treated as the problem to be corrected.
Autistic and ADHD adults, diagnosed or self-identified, who want support that respects how they are wired.
