About Paul

Paul is warm and approachable, with more than 22 years of experience across private practice, hospital, mental health, and community settings, working with adults, young people (16+), and couples. He is known for his down-to-earth nature and ability to help people feel comfortable and understood from the outset.

He supports clients with anxiety, depression and mood difficulties, trauma and PTSD, relationship concerns, stress and burnout, grief and life transitions, Borderline Personality Disorder, insomnia, and alcohol and substance use challenges.

His therapy style is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based — focused not only on understanding why people struggle, but on developing realistic tools for lasting change. He uses evidence-based interventions, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples

Paul offers a respectful, supportive space where clients can move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence. As a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, he provides Medicare-rebated therapy under the Better Access initiative, with face-to-face and telehealth appointments available.
